Dr Robert Thomasson
Rob Thomasson has practiced as a veterinarian on
the Gold Coast since 1974. He started the first
Vetcall practice in 1976. Rob’s special interests
are small animal medicine, surgery and practice
management. Presently Rob is the Practice Manager
of all four Vetcall Practices and relies on teamwork
between vets and nurses to run the practices smoothly.
He regularly attends professional development courses and keeps up to date with the latest veterinary developments.
Rob has been a Rotarian since 1978 and enjoys
relaxing at home with his wife Margot and his family
including his pet "Turbo". |

Dr Peter
Elliott
Peter joined Vetcall in 1991 after spending 3 years
in farm practice in Mt Gambier, South Australia.
He became a partner in 2002. He has
a special interest in small animal medicine and
geriatric care.He is married to Caron who works
in Administration for the group and has 2 primary
aged children Isaac and Hannah. The Family is completed
by two Devon Rex cats, Lucy and Inspector Lex. |

Dr Mark
Kropp Dr Mark Kropp joined Vetcall Ashmore in 1996 and became a partner in 2002. Mark has a keen interest in surgery regularly attends seminars and conferences to keep up to date with current techniques in the various areas of Veterinary Surgery. Mark is our head surgeon at Vetcall Ashmore. Outside of work Mark is a paraglider pilot and avid surfer. He also plays at team sport called underwater hockey which he is happy to tell you about if interested.
His two cats, Roger and Snowy turned up in the driveway together in late 2006 and never left. They enjoy fighting over prime sleeping positions. |

Dr Patrice Eden
Patrice has been working as a vet for 8 years. She loves spending time with her family and her hungerian visla - Draga. Her main interests are small animal medicine, and she enjoys emergency work. |

Dr Baron Jonsson (all clinics)
Dr Baron Jonsson joined us in February 2007 and is working between Vetcall's 4 clinics.He graduated from QLD University in 1997 and worked in rural NSW for 2 years.He returned from the UK in 2006 having worked extensively in Britain including Scotland and Wales and is keen to settles here on the Gold Coast.
Baron is interested in all aspects of vet medicine and surgery and is particularly keen in patient and client welfare. |

Dr Robbie Hughes
Robbie comes from beautiful Far North Queensland, Cairns where he was born, raised and practiced as a vet for 8 years until 2006. He graduated from the University of Queensland in 1998 and recently returned from the UK. where he practiced (and travelled throughout Europe) for 2 years. Robbie has a keen interest in Emergency Medicine, Oncology and Native animals.

Dr Brett Chittick (works at Ashmore, Burleigh & Mudgeeraba)
Brett graduated from the University of Queensland in 1992 and loves working with small animals. Brett lives on his family farm with his wife, 2 children, 5 ferrets, 3 dogs and a pet snake. |

Karen
Karen is our senior surgery nurse. She has been nursing since 1998. Starting out in a small town on the south coast of England, she then moved to a busy practice just outside London, where she gained most of her experience. She moved to Australia with her husband at the end of 05. Karen has been working at Vetcall since March 06 and now is fully involved with puppy school. She has 2 cats, Dotty and Millie which she hand raised from 2 weeks of age. Karen enjoys socializing and traveling. |

Tammy
Tammy has been a vet nurse for 25 years and has
been a Locum Nurse for Vetcall since 2000. Previous
to working for Vetcall she was a veterinary nurse
in N.S.W. She is married with 2 children and lives
on a farm with her 2 beloved Shih Tzu and an assortment
of other animals. Her hobbies include reading, taking
care of her family and animals. |

Jackie
Jackie has been in the Veterinary industry for over 25years. Joining Vetcall in February 2008 she is our friendly Reception Team Leader. She has two lazy whippets Cody and Jasper. In her spare time Jackie loves taking her dogs to the beach and travelling.

Kirra
Kirra has been with Vetcall since March 2007. She is currently completing her cert 4 in Veterinary Nursing. Kirra's interest within nursing include wildlife rehabilitation, canine and feline behaviour and general animal welfare. So naturally Kirra is our cat adoption facilitator as well as one of the two puppy school coordinators here at Ashmore. Kirra's interests outside work include basketball, dancing and looking after injured wildlife.

Alana - (on maternity leave)
Alana started working for Vetcall as a kennel hand back in 2005. Since 2006 she has been studying for her Veterinary Nursing certificate. She is now a valuable member of our nursing team. She sometimes lends a hand to our other Vetcall clinics when required. In her spare time she enjoys motorbike riding, surfing and hanging out with friends.

Nerida
Nerida has put her past journalist training into good use by making documentaries on animal cruelty. Some of which have lead to state government inquires. She has an assortment of pets acquired during her time as an RSPCA officer. Nerida brings to Vetcall a solid background of administration management and now happily works as a key member of our reception team. |

Holly
Holly started nursing back in 2005 working in an equine and small animal clinic in Brisbane. She started with us at Vetcall in June 2008. Holly has a cat of her own named Buddy, who is a spoilt child. Holly has a passion for big cats and exotic animals. She one day endeavors to travel and lend a hand in conservation programs for tigers and other animals. Outside of work she likes to keep super fit while indulging on food.

Margot
Thomasson
Margot is the wife of Dr Rob Thomasson, who founded
Vetcall in 1976 and has always been a major driving
force behind the business. Margot is involved in
the accounts and administration department. In her
spare time Margot enjoys relaxing at their South
Stradbroke home with Rob and their 3 adult children and their partners. |

Caron
Elliott
Caron has been employed with Vetcall since 2003
and works in the Administration area. Caron is the
wife of Dr Peter Elliott so she has been a part
of the Vetcall family for a long time. The Elliott
family have recently acquired 2 more family members,
Lucy and Inspector Lex, 2 Devon Rex cats. |

Tiffany
Tiffany is currently studying her certificate 2 in veterinary nursing and she hopes to have it finished by September 2009 so she can start working on her certificate 4. She has been working at Vetcall Ashmore since 2006 where she started as a kennel hand after school. Since finishing high school she was offered a full time position as a trainee nurse. Tiffany owns 2 cats, Missy and Little Miss Fatty as well as a Border Collie x called Tonka. They are all rescue animals. Tiffany aspires to being a veterinarian some day in the future. |

Jamee
Jamee enjoys being part of Vetcall Ashmore and has been going to 'Uncle vets' since before she could walk. Jamee was employed in winter 2008 after 2 years of work experience in holidays. Jamee loves working with animals and hopes to include them in her career after high school. Jamee hopes to become a politician. In her spare time Jamee enjoys raising funds for the Animal Welfare League, playing soccer, painting, making music, hanging out with friends and looking after Mac and Charlie her 2 dogs.

Sieglinda
Sieglinda enjoys working at Vetcall because she loves animals. She has a King Charles Cavalier named Jessie who is very spoilt and a cat named Snap. In her spare time she has fun taking her dog for long walks, hanging out with friends, playing the piano and taking photos.

India
India loves working as a junior kennel hand at Vetall. She owns 2 crazy spaniels named Missy and Monty. In her spare time she enjoys playing touch football, running, surfing and hanging with friends. She hopes to become vet in the future.
